Opus 120 is founded on a single core principle: “By Classical Musicians, For Classical Musicians.” In a world that has fully embraced the digital age, classical music has fallen behind. This comes at both the detriment of its artists and its fans. For an art form that is centered around storytelling, we have ceded the responsibility and ownership of telling our own stories on the global stage. The average filmmaker does not know our history, or are art form, so why do we expect them to help us tell our stories? Opus 120 was founded by classical musicians; from chamber works in intimate venues to the largest Mahler Symphonies in grand concert halls, we have shared your stages. We know the repertoire, we know the people, but most importantly, we know the stories behind the music. Let’s tell them together.
